I want fundraising to be experienced as building communities to be better places to live.

Consider all we share because of generosity…museums, theaters, schools or how much we learn from missions with environmental or health focus.

I realize over the years fundraising has grown to be more about money than mission. People resist being connected to the fundraising experience as money isn’t what brings people into the conversation.  The greater the focus on money, the more resistance to getting involved.

What is the difference between a collaborative and authentic giving experience and transactional money focused giving?   It is the connection fundraisers make for donors with the mission that inspires high annual renewal.

As Founder of Renewable Philanthropy in 2013, I wanted a more human to human experience in fundraising and the mission.

Money is the way people join to serve the mission and their community.

Something that speaks to personal experience in fundraising
